Kia ora, my name is Gemma Goldfinch. I am a fashion designer based in Aotearoa.

 

I have a Master of Design from Auckland University of Technology, where I used historical garment-making methods to create contemporary womenswear.

 

My work is driven by a passion for storytelling through clothing, exploring the place of fashion history as an influence for contemporary fashion. 

 

I have a strong eye for detail and a deep appreciation for craftsmanship, with advanced sewing skills and a hands-on approach to garment construction.

 

I enjoy the process of transforming ideas into carefully considered garments, from initial research and design development through to the final creation. Whether working with historical references, imaginative concepts, or contemporary designs, I bring creativity, precision, and care to every piece I create.
